This Agreement is for purchase of a Standard Poodle puppy from Mike and Linda Miller at Falling Stars Standard Poodles in Ohatchee,, Alabama. We breed only adult AKC Standard Poodles that are found to be free from genetic defects, that are in a healthy & sound condition. All about how to purchase puppies:
Deposit
Non-refundable (except for reasons below, re: sex) deposit to hold puppy for purchase is $200. Buyer will state male/female and color preference. If the choices cannot be met, the buyer has the option to move their reservation forward to the buyer’s list for the next expected litter or request a refund of the deposit. The $200 deposit will reserve your puppy until six weeks after the puppy is born when the balance is due in full. Puppies will go to new homes no sooner than eight weeks of age. Waiting lists will be kept in a first-come, first-serve order for the expected litter. Purchaser’s name will be put on waiting list upon receipt of deposit. If there are not enough puppies in the litter, or if an expected litter does not arrive as anticipated, then the buyer’s name will be placed on the list for the next available litter or deposit will be refunded.
Our Standard Poodle puppies are available with full registration to approved homes only and with limited registration for pet quality puppies to approved homes as well. The approval determination is made through email/phone conversation contacts prior to purchase.
Costs to ship puppies are not included in the above (See Airline Shipping below).
Airline Shipping
The cost of transporting a puppy to it’s new home will include the cost of airfare, cost to transport puppy to the airport, veterinary exam, airline health certificate and purchase of a new airline-approved shipping crate. The total will be determined depending on location. Providing the pup is approx. 8-10 weeks old, it is $375 minimum for the package. Please be aware that as the puppy grows, so does the size of the kennel and weight of the dog, therefore, shipping costs rise substantially. Charges include:
· Health certificates from licensed veterinarian for puppy being shipped;
· Age of dog when shipping: minimum 8 weeks old
· Food and water for pups less than 16 weeks old when air transit time is longer than 12 hours
· Cages and shipping containers correct size, airflow, adequate strength for safety travel
Please be aware of the regulations regarding the temperatures during flight. Shipping during seasonally hot or cold weather may not be permissible.

We will communicate with you about the progress and the arrival of the litter. Puppy pictures and descriptions will be sent periodically to those on the waiting lists, by e-mail. Health Guarantee
Falling Stars guarantees your puppy to be free from infectious diseases for 4 days after puppy leaves our premises, and guarantees puppies to be free from genetic problems for up to two years of age. Hip and joint problems can be caused or influenced by overfeeding, failure to maintain proper weight, failure to provide sufficient exercise, and other factors that would be out of our control during the puppy’s development.
Falling Stars will provide purchasers with a puppy that leaves our home clean, in good general health with no known physical or genetic defects.
De-wormings and immunizations set forth by our veterinarian (see schedule below) will have been completed as shown. While it is generally recognized that intestinal parasites and ear mites are common in puppies, and part of a puppy’s early development, we will make every effort to prevent such parasites. Often, the stress of change and travel can cause intestinal parasites to emerge after the puppy has left its mother. Buyer agrees to continue de-parasitization testing and treatment (if necessary) with their veterinarian. De-worming will have been done at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks of age and the puppy’s vaccinations will be administered at 6 and 8 weeks of age with additional treatments if the pup remains in our possession beyond 8 weeks according to recognized schedules.
1. New owners must take their puppy to their veterinarian within 4 days of purchase for complete examination.
2. If the purchaser’s veterinarian finds the puppy to be in poor health, the veterinarian’s written description of the problems must be provided and dated within 4 days of the date purchaser received their puppy in which case the buyer will be refunded the purchase price when the puppy is returned to the seller, at the buyer’s expense.
3. New owners agree to keep their puppy at home and away from other dogs and public places and will use care in allowing others from outside their home to pet or touch the puppy. This is to protect the puppy from exposure to parvovirus and other infectious illnesses until the immunizations are complete. New owners will not enroll the puppy in obedience training classes until that time – usually at 16 to 20 weeks of age, according to the veterinarian’s schedule
4. Additionally, our puppies will be guaranteed for 2 years against genetic diseases. Veterinarian’s examination findings along with documented proof of tests performed through second parties, will need to be submitted to the seller no later than two months after the puppy’s 2nd birthday, complete with written proof from the AKC that the puppy has never sired or whelped a litter. If all criteria have been met, the buyer will be refunded the purchase price upon return of the puppy to the breeder (seller), at the buyer’s expense. The buyer also has the option to have the puppy replaced as an alternate choice to a refund, providing there is one available. This guarantee is only applicable to the original purchasers! If the puppy/dog is sold and placed elsewhere, the breeder will no longer be liable for any issues arising after the resale has taken place. I cannot stress enough that all charges incurred in the transportation costs WILL BE AT THE BUYER’S EXPENSE!
Sellers and Purchasers agree to abide by the terms of this Agreement.
